Life Lately

We’ve been enjoying these early fall days with plenty of walks! Tilly LOVES fall…it’s her favorite season because the temps are cooler but there isn’t any snow, yet 🙂

A few days ago, I swung through the thrift store on my way home from doing errands and totally hit the jackpot. We’ve been looking for a large, vintage mirror for our bathroom so replace the one that’s much too small. You guys…can you believe this beauty was only $10?!? I’ll share pics of the new mirror in our bathroom next week!

This past Thursday was my sister’s birthday. She wanted to take Molly to the zoo for the day so my mom and I went along.

It was a HOT one with temps hovering around 90 but it was so much fun. It’s such a joy to see happiness exuding from Molly as she explores the world and learns about new things 🙂

One of my favorites was watching the beautiful tiger cool off in its pool. He was looking right at me! SO neat!

Healthy Pumpkin Spice Latte Recipe

Since fall is such a cozy season, I thought I would, over the next few weeks, share some of my favorite fall recipes.

I LOVE coffee but don’t care to spend $8.00 on a sugar-laden pumpkin drink from the coffee shop. As a healthy and WAY TASTIER version, I make pumpkin spice latte’s at home.

Here’s what you need:

  • 1 cup of hot coffee
  • milk to taste, usually like 1/4 cup ( I use almond milk)
  • maple syrup
  • pumpkin pie spice
  • vanilla extract (optional)
  • milk frother
  1. Brew hot coffee.
  2. Add maple syrup, pumpkin pie spice, and vanilla to taste to the coffee. STIR WELL.
  3. In a glass jar, heat up the milk.
  4. Then, using a milk frother, froth the milk so it’s foamy.
  5. Pour the milk on top of the coffee and stir gently. Top with more pumpkin pie spice.

Voila! It’s SO good. I hope you try it!
