Journey Jots #77
Hello, guys! How are you? How have the past few weeks been? I hope you had a lovely Easter! I love hearing from you and learning what’s new in your world. Let me know in the comments!
We have lots to catch up on today so let’s get right into it.
Life Lately
I celebrated my 38th birthday on the 17th! Hubby made me a pistachio cake, took me out for breakfast at my favorite coffee shop, and then we went thrifting. It was the perfect day!
I also received these lovely flowers. The bright colors are so cheery!
These are some of the vintage finds that I brought home with me from our thrift shopping adventure!! I cannot WAIT to tell you more about them in the next Thrifted Goodies post!
Me and Tilly spent the morning sitting outside, basking in the sunshine. I drank my free birthday coffee and we just enjoyed each others’ company.
On Easter, my family celebrated three birthday’s! Mine, hubby’s and my brother in law. I received the most adorable gift from my sister…this graphic print of my Tilly girl. It’s SO cute…I have it hanging next to my desk.
On the evening of my birthday, a thunderstorm rolled through. After it passed, this rainbow appeared! How special to have a rainbow on my birthday.
And here is Miss Molly on Easter! How cute is that sweater?! So smiley!
And, last but not least, today, the 27th, is our 13th wedding anniversary! Look at us…just babies.
It’s crazy how quickly these last 13 years have flown by. This life is one big, grand adventure and I wouldn’t want to share it with anyone else!

On the Blog-Journey Jots #77
This past Thursday was the monthly Thrifted Goodies post! I shared a recent thrift haul and how these finds are environmentally-friendly choices for home decor.
Since April is Earth month, and Earth was a few days ago, I wanted to share a post that I wrote a few months ago. It’s all about why vintage decor is eco-friendly! Let us all band together and take care of the Earth so that it can take care of us!
Finally, in this post, I share my thoughts on why buying secondhand is important. The Earth needs us now more than ever and it’s our job to take care of it!
Coming Up on The Antiqued Journey
This coming week I’ll be sharing a new post all about thrifted kitchen decor on a budget! Then, in a few weeks, come back for my favorite eco-friendly cleaning supplies and spring cleaning tips.
Also, if you have any specific topics or things you want me to cover, send me an e-mail! I’d be happy to oblige.
There is a ton of fun content coming your way. Be sure you are subscribed to my e-mail so you are the first to know about new posts and merchandise updates!
I also wanted to quickly share that The Antiqued Journey has been featured in three separate publications recently. I’m honored and thankful for these lovely writers reaching out to me while we all work to support one another.
First, RedFin Blog included a snippet of mine about decorating with brass in a recent article. Next, The Good Trade featured my DIY fall leaf garland in their recent article about how to opt out of consumerism. Finally, another writer from the RedFin Blog included an excerpt in an article about multi-generational living.
I would be so grateful if you took a minute to check those out!
