Journey Jots #63
Hello guys!
How are you? How was your week? Do you have any new year’s goals or fun plans for the year ahead? I love hearing from you and learning what’s new in your world. Let me know in the comments!
Life Lately
After the holiday festivities, it was back at the daily schedules this week! However, there’s just something about having routines that I just love. When I’m out of routine for a few days, my body craves it again. So, it was nice to get back at it!
I spent all of last Saturday taking down and organizing the Christmas decor. I don’t know about you but I always get so sad when it comes time to un-deck the halls. But, it’s always refreshing to have a clean slate for the new year.
I purchased this new ornament organizer and it’s so much better than what I was using, which was a bunch of old shoe boxes!
I’ve been enjoying slow evenings with Tilly on the couch. We are both tired of the bitter cold but at least we can snuggle up in a blanket, right?! Lately, I’ve been drinking decaf almond tea with a splash of honey and almond milk. SO good!
Do you have a favorite night time beverage?
And, can we all live vicariously through my sister for a minute?! She has been on vacation in Maui for the past week!! Gosh…isn’t that SO pretty?!
As such, my parent’s have been taking care of Molly while they are away. But, we took her for a few hours over the weekend so they could have a little break. We went to Cabelas!
She loved looking at the fish tanks, the stuffed animals, and of course shoes!
Molly is SUCH a joy…so happy, goes with the flow, and is content just to be wherever she is. I love her so 🙂

Coming Up on The Antiqued Journey
This coming week I’ll be sharing a post on styling a small entryway for winter. Then, in a few weeks, come back for a post all about decorating with milk glass for winter!
I also want to give a few brief updates. 1) I re-worked the menu and tab layout on my homepage. If you would, could you check it out and let me know if it’s easy to navigate and follow?
And, 2) as I was thinking about blog content for the new year, I was being drawn to write more posts on simple living, de-cluttering, minimalism, and mindfulness. So, in 2025, you’ll see about one post a month focusing on one of those topics. If there is anything specific you would like me to touch on in any of those categories, let me know!
I’m super excited for the year ahead. I have a ton of new content ideas up my sleeve!

Closing Tidbits for Journey Jots #63
Thank you so much for being here and joining me! I love sharing a little bit of my daily life with you.
Have a lovely week ahead!
Mindful Living Tip of the Week: ‘I choose to believe everyone is doing the best they can with the tools that they have.’
As we part today, may we all send our love and peace to California. The destruction from the wildfires is just un-fathomable. I truly don’t have words and my heart just aches. Please pray for safety for all of the fire fighters and emergency responders risking their own lives to help.
If you can, I urge you to donate to causes to help those who have lost everything.
If you are new here, I’m Rachel, the writer and content creator here at The Antiqued Journey. I’m so happy to have you! I encourage you to stop by the ‘about me’ page to get to know me a little more.
Here on the blog, you will find loads of inspiration for decorating with vintage and antique decor, simple DIY crafts and many thrifting adventures. If that interests you, I invite you to sign up for my e-mail. You will receive a free digital download as a thank you!
