Journey Jots #60
Hello guys and happy Sunday!
How was your week? Are you all ready for Christmas? Do you have any good news to share? I love to know what’s going on in your world so let me know in the comments.
Life Lately
Last weekend, hubby and I took a date to a winery! We had purchased tickets to go to their Christmas light tour and it was SO much fun.
We got there early, ya know, to beat the crowds. As such, we were each able to get a glass of wine and find a bench on the edge of the vineyard to watch the sunset.

Once the sun went down and it got dark, that’s when it really got magical.
There were so many amazing light displays all over the grounds! Ever since I was a little girl, I’ve LOVED Christmas lights. There’s something so comforting and ethereal about them. So, this was a very happy sight.

I thought this wine barrel Christmas tree was super clever!

Along the perimeter of the winery, there were trees decked out in red and white lights, reminding me of candy canes. This set of trees was by far my favorite out of it all.
It was so pretty with the sun setting in the background!

Willow trees are my favorite kind of tree so, naturally, this willow tree with the dangling lights, mimicking its branches, I found just gorgeous! Also very creative:)

And! There was even an antique sleigh on display complete with GREEN velvet seats!! How pretty 🙂
We are trying to schedule in more time for dates and quality time together and this outing was exactly what we needed.

Finally, Molly went and saw Santa!
She refused to wear socks OR shoes for her photo but she loved it nonetheless 🙂 I’m super excited for her to be able to open Christmas presents this year, too!

Such a beautiful way to spend time enjoying the lights during the holiday season, Rachel. It’s one of the things I miss most when we have to pack everything away. I love that you’re taking some time to slow down to soak in the season. I can’t even get over Molly going to see Santa. I swear it seems like she was just born and now her personality is shining through and she knows her own mind. She’s the cutest! Thanks so much for sharing my ornament, I really appreciate it. I hope you and your family had an awesome holiday season and will be richly blessed in the New Year, CoCo
