Journey Jots #40

Hello, guys! Welcome to another Jots and a brand new week!

How are you?! As we head into the last few days of July, I hope that you can take a few minutes to slow down and really savor the season. This summer has been super fun but it’s going so fast! My goal for August is to be fully present in each day to really soak up the sunshine.

Life Lately

It was a very busy week last week watching Molly! I’m not used to being on the go constantly and chasing after a 1 year old who is into EVERYTHING!

She kept us on our toes, that’s for sure. We took many walks, went to the park, and even went to the Mall of America to sight see (and get coffee:)

Our latest bike adventure took us on a windy road that passes by a really neat creek.

There is a faucet there that is constantly running with fresh Spring water coming out of it! Anyone can stop there to fill up water bottles, jugs, or what have you. It’s pretty cool!

The little creek that the spring water feeds out of is extremely peaceful and serene, especially in the middle of suburbia. We took a few minutes to sit and listen to the water rushing over the rocks!

Lastly, I had THE BEST thrift shopping trip I’ve had in a very long time. I was on the way home from doing a few errands and that little thrifty voice in my head told me I needed to stop at the thrift store quick. And, when that thrifting voice speaks, the pertinent thing to do is listen…boy am I happy that I did!

What’s the best thing you’ve found thrifting lately?!

  • I’ve been seeing these decorative hourglass timers more and more lately and they are kind of growing on me.
