Hello, guys! Welcome to April…my very favorite month! Why, you may ask?!
Well, my birthday is coming up in 2 weeks…I’ll be 37! Hubby’s birthday is one week after mine and it’s a big one this year as he is turning 40! Then, to round out the month, we will be celebrating our 12th wedding anniversary on the 27th. We like to pack all of the celebrations into one month 🙂

Remember that bundt cake I was telling you about? Well, it turned out fabulous and was SO GOOD!! It looks exactly like the recipe photo. I’m so proud of it!
Life Lately
It was pretty gorgeous outside last weekend so we took a walk around a lake by our house.
There’s a neat waterfall on one end of it!
It was also a fun weekend celebrating Easter with my family.
We took our annual Easter morning, post church family picture but Tilly was more interested in looking at the ducks than the camera 🙂
Miss Molly had a BLAST opening her Easter basket and gifts.
I put this crinkle paper in her gift instead of tissue and, honestly, she was into this paper more than any of the neat toys and books that she got!
She did so well at her first Easter church service and looked adorable in her pink headband.
Molly and Tilly had a great day, as you can see!
Favorite Weekly Shopping Finds
April is Earth month and, here at The Antiqued Journey, we celebrate living in a sustainable way!
So, this month, I’ll be sharing all eco-friendly products whether that be home decor, home goods, or otherwise. Let’s pull together and take care of our planet!
- I’ve recently started using these coconut scrubber kitchen sponges!
- Go plastic-free with these beeswax food wraps.
- Try these garbage bags made from plants!
- Put these cotton grocery bags in your trunk so you always have them with you.
- Use these laundry detergent strips instead of plastic laundry containers!

- These Swedish dishcloths are biodegradable, reusable, and made of zero plastic!

I am curious about the coconut scrubber kitchen sponges vs the Swedish dishcloths. Do you think one is better than the other or are they similar in use and longevity? I have been using the dishcloths but have a love/hate viewpoint about them.

The dish scrubbers I use solely for washing dishes. What I’ve noticed about them is that they last longer and don’t get stinky like the normal sponges that I was using.
The cloths I use for wiping counters, the stove, sink, etc…I’ve also taken to using microfiber cloths as well and really like how they clean up the kitchen and bathrooms.

Looks like you had a fabulous Easter! My boys were just like Molly when they were little, they always loved the wrapping and boxes as much as the gift, lol! You have so much to look forward to in April! It’s going to be a great month!
