Let’s celebrate the end of a beautiful season with a fall in review!
As we wind down the fall and head into the holiday’s, I wanted to take a minute to appreciate how lovely this autumn season has been. From day to day life to here on the blog, this fall really encouraged me to slow down. I’m sharing 5 fall posts from these past few months, each containing either a DIY project, vintage decor, or thrifted decor. I’m also sharing 4 fall posts from some blogging friends. This really has been one of the most beautiful falls that I can remember. The leaves gifted us with the most vibrant shades of reds, yellows, and oranges. The weather has been sunny and downright balmy for this time of year! I was able to spend so much quality time outside on my bike riding the nature trails, hiking in the woods with Tilly, and fly fishing with my hubby.
Here on the blog, I was so fortunate to be able to collaborate with many blogging friends on some fun fall posts as well as made new friends! I’m grateful for what this season taught me, both personally and professionally. As we leave this autumn behind, my heart is thankful. Thank you so much for being here and supporting my dream!
Fall In Rewind
Thrifted Goodies Volume 3
This thrifted goodies post is a fall edition. On this thrifting excursion, I was gifted with some amazing vintage copper as well as simple fall decor items. I’m continually amazed at what people give away and the amount of beautiful decor that you can find for your home for just a few dollars. However, minimal living is a lifestyle that my husband and I try to adhere to as much as possible, so the pieces need to be useful, have a purpose, and be a great price.
Thrifting for your home is, in my opinion, the best way of finding beautiful and unique pieces that speak to you, helping you to create a home that is one-of-a-kind. There is nothing quite like seeing a decor item or piece of vintage that literally stops you in your tracks, like it was meant to be a part of your story.
DIY Wooden Rosette Pumpkins
These wooden pumpkins were super popular. Many of you really enjoyed this post and that makes me SO happy! It’s one of my favorite decor projects as well. It’s extremely easy with minimal materials needed, making this craft very affordable. This little trio of pumpkins brings such fall cheer to your home!
These pumpkins can mesh well with any decor style. The clean lines lean more modern yet the rosette itself makes me think of an old vintage farmhouse. By being able to customize the paint colors as well as the ribbon, you will be able to create a set of rosette pumpkins that fit your style and your home.
DIY Fall Garland With Waxed Leaves
This DIY fall garland , which many of you loved, is extremely simple and versatile. It complements any decor, fall or otherwise. The different textures paired with the deep, moody colors of fall are just stunning!
Once the wax melted, I was able to create my garland in 30 minutes flat. You can find many of the materials at the thrift store or dollar store, making this DIY very affordable.
You can literally do anything with these leaves by preserving them in wax. The possibilities are endless!
Vintage Fall Basket Vignette
This fall basket was part of a super fun blog hop that I was (and still am) honored to be asked to join! Vintage decor speaks to my soul and I love to decorate with it throughout my home. I thrifted this basket months ago and it has been the backdrop for many seasonal displays since then.
This fall basket is filled with rich texture and deep colors. The velvet pumpkins set the tone for how I wanted this display to feel. Paired with a plaid pattern and natural elements, the vintage pieces truly speak for themselves.
For me, vintage decor is the type of thing that never gets old. Because of the age of these pieces, they are full of rich patina and character, giving each piece a timeless charm.
Fall Decorating On A Budget
In this post, I shared how I used minimal fall decor in my home and ideas for decorating on a budget! This can feel like a daunting task to some but it truly doesn’t need to be anything fancy. I’ve shared with you before about my firm belief that you don’t need to spend hundreds of dollars during each seasonal change to decorate your home.
This autumn season, I wanted my home to be surrounded by cozy and beautiful things yet still keeping to a minimal and simple aesthetic. Most of the decor that you see here has been found secondhand either from the thrift store or an antique shop. I will always and forever love thrifting for home decor, be it vintage or otherwise. I adore the way my thrifted fall decor looks this season and I hope these ideas are valuable to you!

My friend Jen from Midwest Life and Style created this incredible stacked pumpkin topiary. You won’t believe how easy this project is to make! What a ‘wow’ moment these add to a front porch or patio area. Jen is an amazing photographer and her blog is filled with such charming ideas.

Vintage Suitcase Fall Styling Vignette- Master”PIECES” Of My Life
My friend MaryJo from the blog Master”PIECES” Of My Life created this spectacular fall vignette in a vintage suitcase! This is one of the prettiest displays I have ever seen. The green and brown colors are amazing. Combining vintage enamelware with velvet and feathers is just impeccable! This is everything a vignette is supposed to be.
