Journey Jots #93
Hello, guys! How are ya?!
How was your Thanksgiving? I hope it was relaxing and full of good food, joy, and laughter. We were at my brother-in-law’s house with all of hubby’s side of the fam. It’s very rare that everyone is together so it was a lot of fun.
Now, it’s full steam ahead to Christmas! I am all decorated…it took me about five days off and on to finish my tree and all of the other areas of my home that I like to decorate. It turned out so pretty and I can’t wait to share photos with you soon!
Do you have any fun upcoming Christmas plans? Do you bake cookies? I love hearing from you and learning what’s new in your world. Let me know in the comments!
With that, let’s catch up on the past month.
Life Lately
About three weeks ago now, something SUPER special happened in the night sky. For the first time in my life, I was able to see the Northern lights!!
It was THE MOST INCREDIBLE thing to witness…so magical!

The sky lit up and danced with pinks, greens, and reds for HOURS! I kept snapping photos left and right because they just kept getting better as the night went on. Many neighbors came outside too and we were all just hootin’ and hollerin’…it was SO COOL!
I feel so grateful to have been able to experience such a rare event.

A few weekends ago, hubby and I went on a date and did some antique shopping! I love going to antique stores this time of year because all of Christmas displays are out and just brimming with cheer.

On a recent nature hike, we spotted a flock of swans in the river valley. They are so majestic…what a treat to see!

And, finally, I snapped an epic sunset photo over the Minnesota River on my last outdoor bike ride of the year. What a way to cap off an excellent road biking season!

Favorite Shopping Finds- Christmas Decor
- This garland is SO pretty…it looks so real!
- I love anything flocked for Christmas and this set of flocked ornaments is just gorgeous.
- Paper honeycomb trees are all the rage this year and I’m not mad about it. I adore this 9 tree set that can be used all through winter!
- Potpourri is such a pretty bowl accent for the season. It also makes for a great gift, too!
- This hanging velvet star would look so stunning in a window.

Closing Tidbits for Journey Jots #93
Thank you so much for being here and joining me! I love sharing a little bit of my daily life with you. Wishing you a beautiful month, full of hope, peace, love, and light.
Merry Christmas!
Mindful Living Tip of the Month: Life is like a piano, where happiness is represented by the white keys and despair by the black keys. Over time, you will discover that the black keys may also produce music and all are needed for a rounded, well-balanced life. You can’t have one without the other.

If you are new here, welcome! I’m Rachel, the writer and content creator here at The Antiqued Journey. I’m so happy to have you! I encourage you to stop by the ‘about me’ page to get to know me a little more.
