Life Lately

As I’m typing this, we’re getting a good ol’ fashioned Minnesota snowfall! We haven’t had a white Christmas in two years. I’ve been wishing for it to snow for Christmas and, thanks to Mother Nature, we’re going to get 6-10 inches of white, fluffy snow. My wish is finally coming true and it’s SO pretty!

Last weekend, we celebrated Christmas early with my family! We spent the morning baking some festive cookies…we made the traditional cut-outs, followed by peanut butter Nutella filled cookies, and finally pistachio thumb prints.

They all turned out SO yummy!

Molly was her usual cute self and helped her Auntie press a few cookie cutters into the dough:)

After that, we opened gifts! I was eager to see what Molly would do this year with her presents. She was still a tad confused as to what was going on but that’s okay!

My parent’s bought her a new trike toy…it adapts to her age! So right now, it’s like a stroller that she can be pushed in. Then, the bottom part comes off to reveal pedals. The handle comes off too so, when she’s old enough to pedal a trike, she won’t need any help! It’s SO cool and she LOVED being pushed around the house in it.

Weekly Shopping Finds- Things or Products I’m Loving Right Now

  • I turn 38 in 2025. My health is a top priority these days and skincare especially. I have used Pacifica makeup for years and recently started using this vegan collagen overnight face cream. It feels so good on the skin and smells amazing.
  • I’m always looking for soft face rags to either just quick wash my face or to remove makeup. This set of 24 fleece washcloths are INCREDIBLE!
  • In the evening, I like to have hot tea when I’m watching my YouTube shows. I’ve never found a tea that I loved until now. This decaf vanilla almond tea is SO GOOD!! If you like almond flavor, you’ll love this. I just add a splash of almond milk…MMMM! So yummy.
  • I’ve shared this before but I’m sharing it again because that’s how much I love the Inso Green laundry strips. I’ve been using them for over 6 months now and will never go back to regular detergent!
  • This set of 6 teak wooden kitchen utensils is wonderful. They are sturdy, durable, wash up nice, and I love the fact that it’s an all natural material.
  • Recently, I switched from plastic-bottled body wash to Dr. Bronner’s bar soap. It’s truly lovely. The scents are amazing and works well for sensitive skin.
  • During the winter months, when cold and flu season is at its peak, I take one elderberry gummy each day. I can say, from experience, they really do keep sicknesses at bay!
