Hello, guys!

Hope you are well. It was another busy week with work and life things!

Even though we had such amazing weather a few weeks ago, old man Winter has not escaped us. We are awaiting a big snow storm later today (as I’m typing this on Thursday) with about 6 inches expected. And…another 6-7 inches is expected on Monday!!

Just when we thought Winter was over…that’s March in Minnesota for ya 🙂

Life Lately

We were going to go fishing last weekend but the weather had different plans…it was SO WINDY for like 5 days straight.

So, instead of fishing, we went to a garden center!

We’ve been looking to buy a house plant for a corner in the dining room for awhile now. But, we’ve had to do a lot of research on which house plants don’t need direct sunlight since our windows are east-facing.

But you guys… you have NO idea how life-giving and soothing walking through that garden center was for me!

It was warm, sunny, and full of the prettiest Spring blooms. The smells were absolutely HEAVENLY!

I love flowers. It pains me that I can’t plant any of my favorite flowers because our outdoor space is in full shade. I can’t get anything to grow except for Fern plants and maybe Coleous.

Someday soon, when have a home in the country, I’m going to pack that yard full of bulbs such as Tulips, Hyacinths, and Daffodils.

Having dreams and goals is what life is all about!

Anyways, we ended up purchasing two new plants!

This hanging Ivy plant caught both hubby’s eyes and mine so into the cart it went. Her name is Ivy and she is thriving!

This is the Ficus tree that came home with us. Isn’t it so pretty?! The braided trunk is just gorgeous.

Her name is Sylvia and is doing okay. She’s dropping leaves but I’ve read that’s normal when you re-pot a Ficus tree, especially when it’s in a new environment.

If you have any tips for Ficus tree care, leave them in the comments!

On the Blog-Journey Jots #22
