Journey Jots #67
Hello, guys!
How are you? How was your week? Is there something you need that I can pray about for you?
I love hearing from you and learning what’s new in your world. Let me know in the comments!
Life Lately
It was a fairly quiet week around here. It’s that time of the year when daily life is normal and neutral. Like, we’re into the new year, the holidays are past, and it’s still very much winter here in the North. It’s basically a time of doing cozy things and staying warm!
I did go thrifting last weekend and BOY did I score! I gave myself $20 to spend and usually I don’t spend near that amount. However, on this day, there was SUCH good stuff! I mean…just take a look at my haul.
Everything I LOVE…milk glass, ironstone, old books…mmmm!!! It made me SO happy. I’ll go into more detail on these finds and how I’ve styled them in the next Thrifted Goodies post at the end of the month.
Tilly also got something fun…a new toy for Valentine’s Day!!
She LOVES when we bring home a new toy…her eyes get all big and her little nubby tail starts going in circles. We can barely get all of the tags off before she is jumping up, wanting us to throw it down the hall! It’s just the cutest.
Her new toy happens to be a chicken that we’ve named ‘Hey Hey’. We actually name all of her toys and Tilly actually knows all of the names of her toys. If we tell her to go get a certain one, she will!! So smart!
Finally, I know we could all use some more laughter in our lives.
So, here is Miss Molly, happily sitting on the couch, playing with a new loaf of bread 🙂 Who needs toys when you can just krinkle the plastic on a loaf of bread?!
Molly has no idea the joy that she brings to us but I’m so thankful for it.

This past Thursday, I wrote a brand new blog post all about elegant vintage valentine decor styled in the hutch! I share my take on rustic and winter-themed valentine decor through the use of vintage dishes, linens, pink velvet ribbon, and hearts.
These ideas can be used on any type of shelf or small area of your home where you want to create a seasonal display!
As I’ve been researching topics to write about here on the blog, I am noticing the recurring theme of others searching for simple living or minimalism as well as how to be in the present moment. It’s like society is just craving peace.
In this post, I share my journey with anxiety and how I’ve, over the years, started to find peace in daily life. I hope it helps you!
Finally, a post that has been really popular lately is My Top 10 Thrift Shopping Tips! In this post, I share my top tips on how to find the good stuff at the thrift store. You’ll be a thrifting pro in no time!
