Life Lately

It’s been a jam-packed past two weeks!

We started off Christmas week with a family brunch. I had the yummiest French toast and this beautifully crafted almond milk latte!

And! You guys! If you remember, we had a big snow storm a few days before Christmas so we had a white Christmas this year! SO happy!

It’s so much fun to go walking with Tilly at our favorite nature park out in the white landscape.

On Christmas Eve, I was in charge of fruit. So, I decided to create a Christmas tree fruit platter!

I used strawberries and kiwi as the tree part, oranges as the garland, trunk, and star, and blueberries for ornaments. It turned out so cute!

Tilly had so much fun playing with her new toys and was so tuckered out by the evening!

We had my parent’s over for a Christmas Day turkey dinner.

It was a lovely, relaxing day with Scrabble, Yahtzee, and a warm fire in the fire place.

I also took some time for myself. It was glorious having slow mornings, staying in my pajamas until well after noon, and catching up on some sleep. I even was able to watch the ENTIRE three and a half hour long Era’s tour on Disney+. AMAZING. She is INCREDIBLE. I was blown away by Taylor’s creativity and talent!!

Finally, I started a winter project…this giant paint by number picture! I’ve wanted to do one of these for a while and I was able to get a super good black Friday deal on this one. I’ll keep you posted on my progress….any guesses on what the picture is going to be?!

Weekly Shopping Finds- Favorite Gifts I Received

  • Forget Apple EarPods! These earbuds are AMAZING! They are noise-cancelling and have the best bass out of any earbud I’ve ever tried. They also work for small ears 🙂
  • I LOVE my new bag!! It’s the most beautiful shade of caramel brown and is the perfect size for any occasion. Dress it up or down, too!
  • This body mist smells SO GOOD. It’s the most amazing blend of florals and salty ocean air mixed with hints of the forest. Love!
  • These are my favorite joggers. I wear them all year round and are so comfy to pair with sweaters this time of the year!
  • How fun is this crossbody OR fanny pack! It comes in all different colors and is super comfy to wear.
  • I mean…who doesn’t love a cute monogram coffee mug?! Pair it with some favorite coffee for a morning boost or afternoon pick-me-up.
  • Candles are, like, the perfect gift. This one smells amazing and I can re-use the jar when it’s gone!

On the Blog-Journey Jots #62

This past Thursday, I shared the first new post of 2025! It’s a subject that is very dear to my heart, which is minimalism. In this post, I chat about the many benefits of minimalism and how it can lead to an overall healthier and happier life!

Coming Up on The Antiqued Journey

This coming week I’ll be sharing a post on my favorite natural decor to use for winter decorating. Then, in a few weeks, come back for how to easily transition holiday decor into winter decor!

I also want to give a few brief updates. 1) I re-worked the menu and tab layout on my homepage. If you would, could you check it out and let me know if it’s easy to navigate and follow?

And, 2) as I was thinking about blog content for the new year, I was being drawn to write more posts on simple living, de-cluttering, minimalism, and mindfulness. So, in 2025, you’ll see about one post a month focusing on one of those topics. If there is anything specific you would like me to touch on in any of those categories, let me know!

I’m super excited for the year ahead. I have a ton of new content ideas up my sleeve!

Be sure you are subscribed to my e-mail so you are the first to know about new posts and merchandise updates!
