Life Lately

It was a short week with the holiday weekend but boy has it been busy.

I started out the beginning of the long weekend with my annual physical…what a way, right?! However, if you’ve been around for a while, you might remember the issues I’ve been having with a certain lady part of the body. I’m always super nervous to get checked again because, every year since 2021, my doctor has found suspicious areas and I’ve had to get realms of tests including mammograms and ultrasounds.

But! I’m SO happy to report that, this year, she didn’t find anything new!!! I’m just ECSTATIC!

So, after all that, I treated myself to a very yummy iced fall beverage from the coffee shop to celebrate 🙂

Take care of yourselves, guys even though you don’t want to go. As I get older, I’m realizing more and more how important it is to keep up on health things.

I also took myself thrifting as another reward for going to the doctor 🙂 I have been finding some amazing things, which you will see very soon!

We’ve been having some very lovely weather here recently! The fall air is imminent and I just LOVE it.

On a recent bike ride, we rode a dirt trail out to the middle of a nature preserve and just stopped for a minute and listened to the crickets. It’s not often that you get this type of quiet in the middle of the city!

Finally, Tilly girl is doing so well! This was her sleeping the other afternoon…I just can’t even. I don’t know how we got so lucky 🙂 Just love her to PIECES!

Sustainable Living Tip of the WeekInstead of using paper napkins for every meal, opt for cloth ones. You can use them multiple times before washing and it eliminates the processing of paper and plastic!

  • Rachel, I’m so happy your annual physical went well. I always encourage women to get checked every year, because I didn’t go for 6 years. I finally went and they found I had Stage 1 cancer. Everything turned out well for me, even though I had chemo and radiation. Not fun. So ladies, please get checked every year!!!
