Journey Jots #45
Hello, guys! Welcome to another Jots and a brand new week! I hope you are well.
Hello, September!
As we close out the summer and welcome fall with open arms, I encourage you to slow down and breathe in this new season. Because, with it, awaits hope and the possibility of something special.
Fall is my very favorite season and I am so grateful to be able to spend it with you sharing my favorite things.
What’s your favorite season?! I’d love to know in the comments!
Life Lately
It’s been a busy week with lots going on in both work and home.
Last week, I was able to spend some time with Molly! You guys..she’s walking!! Not fully on her own yet…she uses a little cart to push around but still. We have a walker! Wahoo!
We also went on a super neat bike ride the other night. Hubby always finds these really cool paths to bike on and this one took us out into the middle of a wildlife refuge near our house. It was so quiet…all you could hear was the trickling of water, birds, and crickets.
We also went fishing on the lake a few evenings ago. It was the most beautiful, calm night and we were the only ones out there! I was mesmerized by the giant lily pads and the water droplets that just sat right on top. Isn’t that so cool?!
Lastly, we had a big thunderstorm blow through the other night. Right after, this giant double rainbow appeared. It was SO bright…I don’t think I’ve ever seen a rainbow that big before. Rainbows are not only beautiful but, to me, they are also a gentle reminder that everything is going to be okay.
As I’m typing this, we are packing, yet again, to head up North for the holiday weekend! We are spending the weekend at a friend’s lake house with 25 of our closest friends and I can’t wait 🙂
Are you doing anything fun for the long weekend? I’d love to know!

Sustainable Living Tip of the Week: Keep berries in covered glass jars in your fridge but don’t wash. When ready to eat, only wash the berries you are going to eat. They last SO much longer and helps cut down on food waste!
