Journey Jots #44
Hello, guys! Welcome to another Jots and a brand new week! I hope you are well.
Can you believe it’s the last week of August already?! That’s just crazy. This month has gone by so fast!
Do you have anything fun planned to round out the summer? I’d love to know!
Life Lately
Last weekend, we drove 3 hours northwest to visit my brother-in-law and his wife! We just hung out, did a little thrifting, and relaxed in the backyard with the dogs. Tilly is not a fan of the car but she made do and did so well.
We are both feeling mostly better after our nasty head colds! I’m still more fatigued than normal but getting slowly better each day.
I was able to get back on my bike last week after being sick for two weeks. I spotted this cool architecture underneath a bridge that we biked under…isn’t it so neat?!
And, on an evening walk with Tilly the other night, we saw the most incredible sunset. How amazing are those colors?!

In case you haven’t heard the news yet, I WROTE AN E-BOOK! My very first e-book, ‘An Introduction to: Antique and Vintage Home Decor’, was released early last week and I couldn’t be more excited about it. It’s been two years in the making!
The e-book is a 32 page, downloadable PDF file that you will receive in your email upon purchase. In it, you will find tips for sourcing, pricing, and styling decor from milk glass to copper to linens. I do hope you check it out!
Also, as a reminder, there is new TAJ merch in the shop section of my website. You will find super cute t-shirts, mugs, and even an iPhone case designed by yours truly.
Each purchase means the world to me and helps me to continue writing weekly content. Thank you for supporting my small business!

These candles are made from all natural soy and contain cotton wicks. I hand pour each candle out of my kitchen.
There are four super cozy scents to choose from. As we begin to wind down the summer and welcome fall into our homes, a fall candle is the perfect thing…don’t you think?!

I’m glad you all are feeling better and are enjoying the warm summer days! I can’t believe August is almost over but I’m kind of glad! If I lived where it gets cold in the winter I would not be wishing summer away, lol! Have a great week!
Thank you!
Yes…I’m hanging onto the nice weather but it’s just been SO hot…just even 10 degrees cooler would be amazing. Enjoy the week!
